APPLICATION
Our Heritage 8.15mm Range is suitable for all domestic applications in all types of windows, from UPVC, aluminium, timber, steel and stone options. It is designed to suit all domestic and standard commercial and office situations.
It is ideal for all listed buildings and conservation projects and historic drawn or hand-blown cylinder glass can be added where required. The Natural History Museum in London has chosen our Heritage Range as their nominated vacuum glass product for upgrading the buildings thermal efficiency and performance.
The Heritage Range is suitable for architects and specifiers working on all types of listed properties or those in conservation areas and commercial applications.
DESCRIPTION
The Heritage Range is the most versatile toughened vacuum insulated glass range in the world.
The Range is available in either a 12mm powder glass edge joint or an 8mm metal welded edge joint, and in multiple Hybrid forms with various depths to suit all frame types and thermal breaks. It has our unique 1mm metal needle getter for better sight lines and a longer expected life span of sixty years and comes with our manufacturers guarantee of 25 years. The range has a thickness of 8.15mm and comes with a choice of our latest micro structural steel layout, for pillars 40% less visible than any other manufacturer in the world, or our standard semi-clear ceramic micro pillars.
Because our pillars are smaller than any other unit, it means our Heritage Range has the least centre pane thermal bridging, which in turn means it has the lowest U value of any insulated unit in the world at 0.452 W/m2K with a single low E coating. Our lowest achievable U value in this range is 0.254 W/m2.K. It also comes with our unique low temperature sealing technology, which has successfully solved the problems of tempered/toughened glass annealing during production, and results in a much higher vacuum, and an even longer life span.
The Heritage Range boasts Passive House Institute certified component status through our GVG ranges. Vacuum insulated glass is the most preferred glazing option by Historic England when historic glass isn’t required. Our Heritage Range of vacuum insulated glass, or VIG, stands at the forefront of vacuum technology with virtually invisible nano pillars, toughened glass units, ultra thin edge joints and 1mm needle getters.
Comes with a manufacturers guarantee of 25 years and has very strong environmental credentials through its design by avoiding the use of gasses, plastics or butyl rubber as found in slimline and double glazing.
